Too much repetitition. We need a good debate on somthing new. Suggestions?

I vote comparing the .270 to the .280 :evil:

How about the most extreme form of smithing/customizing you do to your own rigs? Are you capable of reaming out chambers? refinishing stocks? Or are you hesitant about even cleaning your own guns? Where do you draw the line?
 
Well I'd buy a 280 if they came with a 10 round magazine as a standard. Figure you'd need that many shots since it's such an inherently in-accurate cartridge. Lets face it the only two things Remington ever did right was to standardize the 22-250 and the 7-08 is a nice cartridge. I figure Remington is run by liberals that couldn't find a job in Canada after losing their seats in Quebec. :evil:

Don't even ask my opinion of Leopold. At least they didn't bad mouth Canada. :runaway:

I think an interesting debate would be something like is it better to spray your rifle with deer whizz or G96? At least there you have some pros and cons. Like deer whizz isn't a great lubricant but it attracts deer, while G96 protects steel but deer run in fear from it.
 
This should work for our American brethren....I wonder just how good Hilary is in the sack.

The bad news is, if she wins they will very quickly find out.
 
Other than the exchange forum, if you were to visit the other forums once a month, you probably wouldn't miss anything......

A couple of years back, I remember a thread about "what to do when scoped" - That sure drew a lot of interesting opinions. Maybe some of the new members would like to participate in such a thread??? :evil:

Ive done a fair bit of checkering, but most of the time I try to preserve what is already there.

To be honest, checkering is a real pain in the arse. I actually hate doing it. It is very unforgiving and one mistake and you are done.

I appreciate the skill and patience it takes, but I would much rather repair a scratch or re-cut some checkering than to start afresh.
It is a nice skill to have, but im no teacher on that, for sure.

Those are some heavy words about Remington & there .280 etc I know of two rem 700 of the shelf, only trigger work and hand loads,original that just might skin any gun you have off the shelf, and also have a Rem 222 that shoots might small groups,
And I have seen some 6mm Rem skin a .243win and I am sure there are quite a few members with 7mmRem Mag that will shoot & kill as well.
I might agree hat Rem quality has gone down a little in last few years but they still make the 700 in North America where is Winchester gone.
