Does anyone know how the front steel handguard retainer is secured to the gas block? Mine is very loose from use, being an 09 gun and I'm wanting to try and tighten it up or replace it to keep the handguard from sliding around. Is there anyway to tighten it up or is it basically just a free floating unit? Thanks.

The plastic handguard on the CQB always has some movement; I’ve owned at least 6 of them and they are all like that. The other models are the same. The answer is a B&T quad rail. The B&T quad rail for the 552 and 553 is sprung (but not on the 550 or 551); it puts pressure against the collar and tightens up that movement you are feeling. They are about $600 last time I bought.
