Sandblasting Aluminum oxide question

Is 100 to 120 grit aluminum oxide safe to use on firearms when prepping metal for parkerizing ? Thank you

I have used it successfully, but I do not use high pressure.

Sand blasting

I sand blasted a garand receiver for parkerizing using glass beads. aluminum oxide will cut into the metal while glass bead only removes the finish. I got the glass beads at Princess Auto.

The parkerizing finish came out very nice. You can see for yourself.
