Now that university is out for christmas I decided to go crazy with my other 10/22. Went absolutely nuts with a role of sandpaper and smoothed/polished any moving part I could, radiused the plunger, put in a Volq extractor, and she works flawlessly.Everything either came blued or painted which is all gone now.
The only thing left blued/painted was the tip of the trigger and and the hammer spring/bottom half of the plunger.
All the paint is gone from the receiver
Even got all the paint out of inside the metal trigger frame.
Boredom results in 3 hours worth of sanding and polishing but wow what a difference it made.
