Sask hunting and fishing season cancelled ??

I spoke with someone who is a govt employee today and he claims that the season is cancelled this year. He wouldn’t give me details but I wonder who else heard the same?
On th govt website one cannot buy hunting licenses and bear season is supposed to start in 2 weeks.

That is good news. I’m really nervous about this season. I’ll go this spring unless they restrict travel.

It makes no sense what so ever to cancel hunting and fishing. Most everyone is out there alone or with their immediate family that they live with. Not a huge risk.

My fishing license is set to auto renew each year - I just got the email yesterday with the receipt for my 2020/2021 license, so i think this is just a rumour.

Talked with the local guy the other day and they are pretty much writing the spring bear season off at this point (BC). They are petitioning the government to implement some of the habitat restoration projects that are on the table and already financed as they can use their regular crews on this and not lay anyone off. See what goes on?

WOW thats great news! Well, it is for the animals who live to be and hunted later. Plus we don't spread the virus to the animals duh.

BTW because of the short distances of the shot shell, when you shoot up towards the roof the shot will not damage the roof or put holes in it.

Google the provincial regulations site, enjoy your 2020 and 2021 hunting and fishing... no, there will be no US entering Canada unless current circumstances change to allow them - I doubt that will change going into fall 2020, it's the same for Canadians going to US.

No hole filling this year. Requires more than 2 guys so that would be a no no to have more than 2 at 1 location.

You can now purchase the 2nd license online, seems like it's a go for 2 bears this year!!!
