On monday my son, nephew and I went for pronghorns. The weather caused a change in our plans as the cloudy, windy conditions kept the goats bedded down and hiding except for a few brief instances of sunshine. We got our three, none being monsters but my son's has good mass and an excellent prong. Because we were using muzzlelloaders, a T/C renegade for 2 and a Traditions in-line on the third and were hunting blind not having been able to do any pre hunt scouting we considered it a very good day.
The only disappointment was the antelope were not displaying any of their frantic rutting behavior. The weather is likely the cause of this. All our bucks were satellite bucks so the rut is most likely still on.
