Saskatchewan Gun Bill Passes 2nd Read UNANIMOUSLY

I’m 100% behind this, but firearms are Federal jurisdiction. So how will this work?

Eventually, it will challenge just how much federal jurisdiction is federal jurisdiction. We are on the cusp of seeing some Canadian history play out.

Not saying it will work, but remember during the depression when Alberta issued a de facto currency?

Well that was federal jurisdiction too, and as a result it failed.

In any case, exciting times.

You should read what it is and how it is simple measures that they can enact without treading on Federal toes. Basically they have voted to implement a maze of processes and hurdles between the feds and the people. They can't change the law, but they can try and make it much harder and costly to enforce.

Some cliff notes:

- no police officer can be a confiscation agent
- these agents must be approved by the CFO
- you receive a receipt for the firearm and accessories at the time they are picked up
- you get market value which must be paid within 30 days
- the confiscation vehicle and storage facility must meet specific requirements outlined in the Act
- the storage facility must be guarded 24/7
- confiscated firearms must all be forensically tested

Great Job Saskatchewan!

The criminal WEF infiltrated Liberal/NDP cabal can write whatever they want.

It deserves neither respect nor compliance.

Free people must not and cannot tolerate STEALING by "government".

It is so wrong on every level.

Interest should be paid to the owner each day the firearm is not fully paid for. Interest should compound daily. Government should provide a gps tracker for each firearm and accessory while they are in the governments possession.

Excellent. Shove it, Laurentian elites!
It certainly makes it much more difficult for the Libs to implement their confiscation...and more expensive. One might argue, prohibitively expensive. Remember, that is what sunk the useless Long Gun Reg.
You gotta love these Prairie people...

so they have not managed to set up the "buy back" after 3 years without any conditions. This will just about make it impossible for the Feds to comply with. Time to move to Sask....

Wouldn't it be simpler to just kick the RCMP out of the province? Start a provincial police force and tell the AG not to enforce selected fed gun laws.
