I am new to the province but love to hunt and I am looking for places where I can hunt whitetail in Nov. Still reading up on the rules (I came from Ontario) so I think I figured out what I need. Need to buy a orange hunting jacket as they dont allow vest here but besides that I dont think I need anything else.

Willing to hunt in groups as well. I am in Moose Jaw and am willing to travel. I also have booked the 1st week of november off already. Nov 5 to the 12th.

Thanks in advance

another question . can you hunt in the blue areas?

Referring to the zone map that comes up at 911alertme's link, there are two large blue areas that I think you mean. One is the Primrose Lake Air Weapons Range, and I don't think so, but you can ask them, and the other is Prince Albert National Park and there, I know the answer is no.

Note that the Regina/Moose Jaw Wildlife Management Zone and Saskatoon WMZ and Prince Albert WMZ we are limited to bow and arrow, muzzleloaders and shotguns only (in various seaons.)

You haven't been around to get around securing permission to hunt private land so PFRA community pastures may be your best bet. Look them up on-line, contact the pasture managers for any you are interested in and most will be helpful with information.
