Saskatoon Gun Club no more?

So I see the Saskatoon Gun Club trap/skeet/sporting range has left their spot on the west side of town. Any info on where it is going? I was told to go to the black powder range, so I went and there is only an old, very old trap setup. And they only run it when there is a function.

What is the future of the club?? I never got a chance to be a member. I just went 5-6 times a year for practice before the bird seasons opened.

They are going to rebuild apparently...but are squabling over two diff. sites..from what i understand.

In talking to Mr. Smith at Preecville shoot land is bought and should be in process of leveling.
Don’t worry I am sure that a great club will be forthcoming and am looking forward to the first shoot.

I've been to an indoor range on the northeast side of S'toon. Do you mean there are/were two gun clubs in town?

I think there are more than that......there is a muzzleloader/blackpowder club/range as well.

My first job was a trap boy at the club.
I used to ride my bike there with my shotgun stapped to the crossbar.
Felt up my first girl there as well

My understanding is that the land being developed for the new club is close to Aberdeen, E of the city a little ways. The club is very well off financially, so it's only a matter of time and it will be rebuilt. National trap championships was scheduled for 2008, but it will be a challenge to meet the deadline I hear.
