The dates for the 2021 edition of the SASS-sanctioned: Central Canadian Regional Wild Bunch and Cowboy Action Matches, are now on the OSASF site. Hosts for this year's event: The Grenville Wild Turkey Posse. For those going...mark July 28 through July 31 on your calendar. Should be a real blast. I know I'll be there. Who else is going?

TrollGRG: The club is a few minutes west of Prescott, Ontario. Near Ottawa. Easiest way to locate the club(Grenville Fish and Game Club) is to go to the OSASF website. Or: Google Maps, Mapquest, etc. Not a lot of details on the site yet, regarding the shoot. These will fill in toward the spring.

I’ll be there if we’re not in lockdown still. I was really looking forward to the 2020 before it go canceled. Never got to go to Barrie before to I am really looking forward to a big turnout.

Barrie always hosted a great match. Kudos to Crow and all the other event volunteers, for their efforts. Much appreciated. I suspect that the Wild Turkey Posse will do a "bang-up" job, too. Provided our political masters don't have us locked down(while they vacation). It was quite a pain having to cancel reservations etc., when the 2020 match was cancelled. Let's look forward to a good time, the end of July 2021.

I'll be going if the creek don't rise. Looking forward to it. I've been to Grenville a couple of times for Wild Bunch matches. The boys there put on a good match. Beautiful area too. See you there Doc.

Regrettably, Covid-19 has caused the Wild Bunch and CAS Matches to be cancelled until at least 2022.
Those who have already registered and paid their fee may either request a refund or "Let it Ride" until next year, when the matches are to be re-scheduled.
Please contact Drop Dead Dave for further information.

Saw the update notice on the OSASF site. Disappointing news, but not unexpected. These uncertain times make it very hard to make any long range plans. I did send an e-mail to Drop Dead Dave, requesting that my registration fee be rolled over to 2022. Have had no reply, so far.

Some of the major matches in the US have also been cancelled or postponed. So there's bound to be some fallout here, too. Still...local club-level matches should go on as usual. Plenty of fun and action at these. Should fill in the blanks nicely.

Garand: Luckily, we didn't encounter that kind of restriction in Ontario. As long as Covid protocols were enforced, ie: masks, distancing, etc. Still, "practice" sessions would be a viable alternative. A toss up still, what this coming season will hold.
