Sat 8th

My point being what's wrong with people. One person was complaining the girl was crying to loud.

Ryan, so sorry to hear that you are stil suffering. It's never easy to see kids who are pain and unforgivable when adults don't do thier utmost to help.

We've lost something important as a society when we forget that children are the most important and precious resource we have and should be cherished as such. I take my hat off to you for keeping it together as I would have raised a s**tstorm with those ten souless idiots ahead of you.

Unfortunately harsh words and guilt seem to work better these days than common decency. Keep well and cudos on being a real man in a room full of worms!!

I didn't mind doing it at all but someone closer the the front should have done it before me.
You are a gentleman and a scholar.

I think the nurse in charge should be getting the child treatment immediately based on severity, age, and other medical factors.

I'm at the emerg today waiting in line...another problem with my ear...and a guy brings in his approx 12 year old daughter with a broken arm. She's crying, its bleeding abit etc They make her wait and no one will let her a head of them. I gave her my spot...my good deed for the day.

What's wrong with people? Not one person (of about 10) a head of me appeared to have anything more than the sniffles. In stead the pasty guy who's sweating to death in a cold room, is doubled over in his chair and on the verge of passing out from the pain has to give up his spot. I didn't mind doing it at all but someone closer the the front should have done it before me. End pain killer induced rant.

Good for you. Now did anyone with the sniffles realize what a heroic thing you did and offer you their spot? Probably not.
From the wise words of my uncle:
"The good of heart go un-noticed, and the sinners receive attention and limelight."

EDIT: What about triage? The local hospital here, what they do, is you go to the desk, tell them why you're here, and your name, then right away, someone from triage comes to see you. Depending on their results, they place you in line for treatment. For example: In your case, you go in, sweating, white as a sheet, insufferable pain, with a previous medical history of ear/hearing problems. If everyone else is there for sneezes and coughs, you would be seen first based on the assessment of the triage nurse.

-5 for our healthcare system.
