Sauer 100 Fieldshoot Sales

I went with low 30mm on EGW rail, mediums were a bit too high.

I put a 3-9x36 scope on a Sauer s100 (a regular XT) in some Talley low rings. The scope tube length, which wasn't particularly short, had both ends of the scope contacting the base of the rings. I had to Dremel a slope into the very thick base. Medium or higher rings would have been too high.

Which brand for medium rings? I only ask because there is a lot of variation. I find for most 1.18” mediums are perfect while 1.26” mediums are good for TRG/AI AW/AE but slightly too high for most combinations. I will likely be going with an EGW rail as well.

Leupold Open Range, medium.99 were a tad too high for my 4-20x50, the low .89 were right on.
