I've got a Savage 10 BA in .308 on the way and was looking for some feedback. I plan on shooting up to 600m and am thinking of using a Bushnell 4200 Elite Tactical- 6x24x50 and Warne low or medium lever lock rings to mount it. I see that the rail on this gun sort off drops off after the chamber (gets lower) and I'm wondering if anyone knows which rings (low or med.) I should use ? All my other rifles have 40mm scopes and the low rings are perfect, the objective end of the scope sits about 2mm above the barrell, and this is what I'm looking for. Anyone have a 50mm scope on their 10BA and what did you use for rings ?
