savage 10fp feed system

Hi guys,

I was looking at bell and carlson stock for the savage..
but on one sellers site they say that:

**NOTE** This stock will NOT work with new Savage rifles using the "in-line" feed system with a center to center disatance of 4-3/8" between the action bolts. Please make sure your rifle measures 4-1/4" before ordering. Thanks!

so i'd like to know, a new savage 10fp in .308cal does it have the 4-1/4 or the 4-3/8.. or is the 4-3/8 is for another model then the 10fp
 
Depends on when it was made and just how long it has been on the shelf. Simply put, you will have to check the rifle.

ok that's a good point

but can you tell me what part a have to measure exactly to know that
i'm new with rifle héhééhéh...
is it just the action bolt itself.. or the center-to-center means something else
