Savage 10FP-LE2B modification info request.

Hello all,
Has anyone modified their MacMillan stock on a Savage 10FP-LE2B to take detachable magazines? It looks like it's possible but I am worried about compromising the stocks rigidity. Any info is greatly appreciated.

I remember Ed talking about it. I never went that way, but if you want a detachable mag his are supposed to be damned fine kit.

Could be done with one of those Savage mag rifles..same mag system as the new 10 FCP McMillan & Hs-Prec..

Of course there would be gunsmithing involved.
