I just picked up one of these in .223 as my first "precision" rifle, but the buttpad is ridiculous. About an inch thick! It's only a .223!
Is there a source for a shorter and less spongy buttpad? I've googled but with no success. The stock pad feels like it makes the rifle way to long in the LOP. If I can't find something by Saturday I'm tempted to shoot without it.
