Hello. Im wondering if anyone has any idea why my trigger jams ?
Attached is a video explaining.
Unless you are aggressive with the bolt and cycle it all the way back the trigger will jam. I adjusted the pull from tightest to lightest with no change.

If you need me to take pics of the trigger with the stock off or any parts let me know.

Here is the video.

I think Ive seen a few people say that the trigger is set to light, but you said that you tried different settings.

I myself would take the trigger apart and clean it. Specially the sear and where it catches.

Set to light, I've had several do that. Also happens with the new bottom bolt release if the release button/trigger guard contacts the tab that hangs down off the trigger. I've just seen it lock up when the rear action bolt is tightened if there isn't enough clearance, not intermittent like yours.

If the barreled action functions properly out of the stock but not in the stock, the answer is something is rubbing or holding the trigger in the wrong spot. When you slam the bolt back, you shake the parts free so the trigger resets and holds.

have a look for signs of rubbing in the inletting. That is a sure sign of your problem.

Another is that the action is being bent when you tighten the action bolts. Try working the rifle after loosening the rear bolt and see what happens. If the problem stops, proper bedding is in order.

The fix will be simple once you find it.

Thank you Jerry. I loosened the action screws and the problem went away.

Now of course tho its to loose to shoot accurately. Do you think if i bed the action it will fix the problem ?

That bolt release button is a pain in the a$$ eh. Ya the trigger guard is flush.

The markings on the action even show that the stock is not well bedded to the action.

I think im going to mill the bedding block down a bit and bed the action between the front of the barrel nut and very slightly behind the rear action screw.
Sadly there are not a ton of photos or info of people bedding this gen of the accustock to look at.

What do u think ?

Yes, bedding will solve the problem.

You do not need to remove any alum per se. Just rough it up for the bedding compound to bite. Degrease and then bed like any other rifle.

The key is to support around the action bolts, mag opening, under the barrel nut. If you got to 1/2" of barrel, that is fine too but you may need to build up a foundation of bedding compound first. The rear tang can be bedded or not. It really doesn't do anything but you may not like it if there is a gap.

I prefer to snug the front bolt so that this area makes good contact with whatever alum it can. Then the rear is left to float level. It does take some mucking about and set up so the various points of stock and action line up smoothly.

Once you have layer of bedding to support the action, the trigger problem should go away.

The Accustock was a great concept that was botched in production.
