When the Savage 10TR rifles first arrived for current/former military/police, I decided it was time to get into a precision rifle.
After getting used to the rifle, I became slightly bored with the factory configuration. It shot great just the way it was. However I began to have a craving for a 6.5cteedmoor rifle, I don't know why, but I had to have one. About this time the Ruger Precision Rifles came out, I almost bought one but decided to modify the 10TR I had.
So I ordered a McMillan A5 adjustable stock and a Shillen SS match barrel with a bull contour. Once I had all the parts it was sent off to Black Art Rifle for the barrel swap, threading, and some bedding to the stock. Black Art Rifle does amazing work at damn good prices, I am extremely happy with the rifle.
I finally got out to the range this weekend to try some factory ammo and round one of load tuning. I absolutely love this thing now, and the 6.5creedmoor is a peach to shoot.
