Savage 10TR le/military

Haven't got mine yet. May change out the base on it first. It is a 0 MOA rail that comes with it. I think I'd rather go straight to a 20 rail, then scope it.

Maybe sightron?? NF?
 
Seems like Sightron and NF are the way most people are going, but sadly, I don't think I can afford such nice glass. I got a deal on a Bushnell Elite Tactical 5-15x40 I'll probably throw on mine. Besides, not many ranges around my place that reach out past 200meters anyway and I doubt I'll be shooting competition or hunting with it. Should be ok for hole-punching purposes right?
 
Vortex Viper HS-T 4-16x44mm, leaving the 0 moa rail until I'm ready to push it past 800 meters, Bradley adjustable check rest, Timney trigger, Versa pod and CDI bottom metal with 10 round AI mag. I have all the parts now just need a rifle.
 
I would like to add an SJC Titan, a similar design to the AR Stoner Competition muzzle brake that I have on my AR, but we'll see.

Does anyone know the outside diameter of the barrel at the muzzle/thread protector? I googled it and came up with a muzzle diameter of .8 in. Can anyone clarify that and is the muzzle diameter going to be the same between the 20in barrel and the 24in barrel?

Is it just a thank you, or something, that it's military / LE only? Just been wondering why a bolt action savage would ever be military/le only.... other than a 'thank you' deal.

I think it's a promotion to build hype personally. I have a strong feeling we'll be able to buy these sooner than later - at a higher price mind you :)
 
Just handled one less than an hour ago!
Can't wait to get mine.
I was expecting it to be a lot heavier. The stock is extremely light. He butt pad is extremely soft and comfy.
It is worth the wait.
Really like the bolt and the mag.
Barrel finish is perfect.

I am all excited now lol

You had to sell the punch... lol

This rifle is very well built, super smooth operation of the bolt and magazine.
Can't wait to fire it!
 
Looking forward to getting mine :) I'm thinking a vortex viper PST FFP but unsure of what magnification. I might drag the beast hunting so I'm thinking 4-16x50. 6-24x50 would be better for range time. Oh so not sure. Any advice? I would like the new 6-24 recital but I'm not sure I can wait......
 
Epps just had two 10 TR in stock this afternoon. Listed "excellent condition" not new. Price was $799 each, I say had/was cuz they both sold within an hour. Those were available to non LEO/MIL...

Sadly I recently had some unexpected expenses and must sell mine (witch should be here in a week or two). Edit: decided to keep her, will just sell something else. Lots of stuff that hasn't been used and will be looking for a new home soon!
