I picked out a muzzle brake I like , got this one as I found decent reviews online. Came in a plain box with a crush washer , no instructions. I greased barrel threads screwed in to hand tight , needs a quarter turn to line up . Is there tourqe specs for this brake/barrel ? Install with a vise pipe wrench , protected with shop towel ?

If the crush washer isn't working (crushing to flat before the brake is Indexed) than a Muzzle break shim kit may be required.

Someone with some more knowledge could chime in on this, the .308 KAC muzzle devises come with Shim kits instead of crush washers.

A crush washer should be able to get you there if you only need 1/4 turn.
Use the proper size wrench. I use a piece of wet leather around the barrel and tighten it in a vice if a barrel vice isn't available.

I got a clone off E-bay. It was a bit cheaper and it works well. Had to use a hard rubber washer in addition to the supplied crushed washer to get it to be perpendicular to the horizontal.
Only drawback, was that it took a fortnight to get here. Literally came on a slow boat from China.

I have the exact same one buyed from E-Bay.
It does a good job, but I don't think this MB is the best recoil reduction ever. My Browning 30-06 have the BOSS system with muzzle brake, and the recoil felt is much lower than my .308 10TR with that brake installed.

I would estimate the felt recoil reduction about 20-25% with this MuzzleBrake.

I couldn't index my brake on my 10T for the life of me. I took it off; flipped the washer around and it then indexed perfectly. Do note that there was quite a bit of torque required and a really solid platform was needed to keep the whole rifle from turning. It was a really good learning experience for me. I am really happy with the result.
