K this is getting me all worked up lol. I know the FCP-SR is fluted and has the 10 round mag, but besides that is everything else not the same? Accustock, Accutrigger, and all?

Also I know the 10TR(now discontinued) and the 10T run the 5R rifling which I found to be EXTREMELY accurate as I used to own the TR(for a factory rifle). Now the big question is, what rifling does the FCP-SR have?! 5R or just regular button Rifling? I like the fluted barrel design and 10 round mag but I want the 5R rifling, or should I even be worried about it? Thanks.

I think the fcp sr is not 5r, which is what made the tr such a good deal.

I don't think the later gen fcp sr comes with aics pattern mags which makes a difference in my mind. You need an older gen fcp sr.

This all may be wrong, not based on personal experience, just recollection from looking at this myself a while ago.

IMO an older fcp sr with aics pattern mag is the way to go - the barrel will be "good enough", you get top bolt release and easy extra mags (5 or 10 rds).

I have the 10FCP-SR that I got last June. No 5R rifling. Only Savage 10 rnd mags (they say there is a 5er too) fit and they are a ##### to find here in Canada. I ordered a few 10 rnd mags from Savage USA and then went to a MDT chassis for comfort and AIC patterned mags.

Brappp306 : fyi, my 10TR i purchased recently, came with a 10 round mag, and wasn't 1 cent more expensive because of it
I had spotted the FCPsr, since it had same barrel diameter as 10TR, the fluting actually removes ridgidity, in my opinion
