Savage 11 scout build

Keep in mind with these rifles, the cheek riser pretty much negates the use of your iron sights. For me, I can't get it low enough to use the irons properly. I ended up just using a QD catilever mount which puts the optic in a traditional spot, but keeps the chamber open for easy top loading.
*shrug*
Red dots also work really well on these rifles. I ended up tossing the stock and went to a lss chassis. Weighs a touch more, but is way more versatile.

@kirby64, have you had any ejection problems with your Savage Scout 11? I have ejection problem with mine out of the box. I contacted Savage Arms and they sent me extractor, detent ball, and extractor spring. It ejected a couple of caps then again the same problem. I have ordered the improved extrqctor kit from Tactical Works in CO, USA hoping that will solve the problem. Have you experienced such a problem before?
