Hey guys, I couldn't fine a thread about this new rifle so here we go. I'm really glad that I bought this rifle. I bought it in 338 lapua because I wanted to go big, enjoy recoil and want to shoot and hunt long range. I ain't disappointed by this rifle, the adjustable stuck with cheek rest is awesome and the MDT chassis that comes with it is good looking as well. The weight is ok... It isn't a light rifle but not too heavy, less than 12 lbs without the optic. It has a blue printed action to the chassis which was the Savage's answer to the 110 ba accuracy problems they had before. It comes with a MDT 20 MOA picatiny rail and you can set the accutrigger as low as 0.9 lbs. The barrel is 24 inches long, comes with a muzzle break and shooting it feels like shooting a lightweight 3006. The barrel twist is 9.3 and would stabilize bullets from 250-300 grains. I bought it at Cabelas for 1875$ which is amazing considering this package deal. I'm looking forward to read your feedback and experience on this great rifle.

I'd need to get a team membership to post pictures directly here, and yes there is people that enjoy some recoil... shooting a 223 bolt action gun is just boring AF!!

If you enjoy recoil, remove the brakeLaugh2 just kidding you will enjoy the .338 is a fun round but a little expensive to feed.

I'll later, it's just a pain in the butt...

Instead of photobucket, grab a google photos setup to automatically back up photos taken with your phone, archived for life, for free, unlimited storage. Good for if your phone is stolen and the "new owner" takes selfies too...automatically uploads all photos.

Click photo, click upload, click copy, click past in reply section.... nope not like a pain in the butt at all.

Seen these held these, for a 338 no complaints, as a hunting rifle anywhere I'd need to hike to put a 338 to use would not be travel friendly. But I do get the appeal of hunting with tactical rifles.

I'll definitely try it without the brake if I ever swap it... I'm currently reloading so feeding it isn't that bad at all, it's like buying factory 308.

I've put 3 out of 5 rounds in the same hole during a ladder test at 100 yds. Accuracy is there but I only tried the 285 eld match wi it so far. I'd like to try the 300 gr smk.

I didn't buy mine in .338 Lapua, I didn't want to spit $5 out the barrel with each trigger pull, so I bought a 10 BA in 6.5CM. Haven't been out to the range with it yet, but plan to this weekend.

I like the rifle and chassis but they went to a 24" barrel from the 26" barrels they use on other 338 Lapua rifles....no thanks. :(
