Savage 110...CIL 950

Hey everyone,
I just bought a CIL 950 barrelled action, I hadn't got it yet as I bought on the EE and it was sent out today.

Based on my research the CIL 950 is a rebranded savage 110. Now I'm looking for a stock for it and most (if not all) the stocks I have seen are long action, the barrelled action I bought is in .308 so my first thought would be that I need a short action stock?

Anyway any info on the CIL 950 is greatly appreciated!!

My memory might be wrong but I think there was only a long action 110. I had a left hand 110C and I believe it was a long action even though it was in 308.

I'd wait until I got it in hand before buying a stock. Savage made a "medium" length 110 action for a few years in the 60's and 70's. It was longer than the current short action Savage 10 but shorter than the long action 110. It might be one of these. In which case it might be a real bear finding a stock.

Numrich has stocks for the 950c and 950d.You may find one of those will work.

Some of the CIL/Savage rifles had Anshutz made stocks with a roll over comb and skipaline checkering. I remember one a friend had in 7mm mag, it was a clip model.
