I trying to put together an entry level hunting rifle for my nephew.I,m waiting for an answer from an ad on the local trading board.The guy wants $400.0O with scope,sling and two mags.Is the 110 the bottom line from Savage?And has there been issues?The fellow says its accuracy suprised him.I think its one of those pkg. deals so I'll probably upgrade the scope for him.Gotta move on this,no time for research. I have and have had several savage 110/111 rifles. They are surprisingly accurate and nice guns.
That said if it is used and it was a package deal to start, you are not getting a deal.
SMACDONALD on this site has the packages for about that. Without the scope and rings, which no one seems impressed with, the price is cheaper still.
