Savage 110FCP HS

went to the local gun store the other day to try and find out some information on the Savage 110 fcp hs, in .338 lapua. they said that there are currently none in Canada.
Just wondering if any one knows where a guy might be able to get one or if in fact there are none in Canada, and approximately how much they retail for?

No you got your plan backwards.

Buy it in 338 lapua. Then with all the cash you save reloading 338 lapua as opposed to store bought, buy a shilen barrel in 300 WM.

Think about it for while and I bet you can make it make sense.

I'm not sure what you meant by getting it backwards? I don't really want a switch barrel Savage. Savage is now making the 110hs fcp in 300 wm, it will be shipping in Jan,2012. I would save money by using the factory barrel and see what kind of results I can achieve with the 230 berger hybrids (.743bc). I've read on the 'hide that some are pushing this bullet at 2800 fps from 300wm platforms. This may be an interesting alternative to the 338, definitely cheaper. If I'm impressed, I would then think about getting a custom barrel. I was seriously considering buying one of the 338 from the dealer in this thread, until I found out that it will be available in 300wm. I'm hoping this dealer, or another, will bring some in at a price reflective of Savage's of $1192.

After shooting my friends Savage 110 FCP HS .338LM a couple of weeks ago.....................I couldn't resist.............................I ordered my own 110 FCP HS in .338LM!
Should be here in January!!!!
Time to start gathering some reloading supplies for it.
