Savage 111 270win. Raffle Rifle

I just thought I'd ask for opinions on this rifle. I was informed yesterday that I'd won it in a raffle held by Alberta Hunter Education (I bought the tickets hoping to win the Ruger semi 22 but with my luck lately I'll take whatever ) It has a synthetic camo stock and a Simmons 3-9 scope. I've never owned one of these but it looks OK.

Sounds like you just won yourself a very practical hunting rifle. Hard to go wrong with the 270 in southern Alberta.

I'll give you twice what you paid for it.

I've got one (stevens 200, same rifle) and it's very nice. Sub moa performance with the cheapest factory ammo I could find to break it in with, and better with handloads.

Now if they'd just get rid of that stupid Mule deer draw I'd have something to hunt besides gophers
