I bought this rifle in the spring in 300WM, it is packaged with a Bushnell 3-9x40 cheapo scope, does not have the accu trigger or accu stock. It was on sale for $350 new and I couldn't resist. My question after putting a few boxes of rounds through it is would it be worthwhile to put a quality scope on it, possibly a boyds stock...etc. It is as accurate as I can be, albeit the scope is junk but the action and barrel seem to be great. ( have heard Savage rifling can be hit or miss). Just wondering from others experiences would I be better off buying a higher end action to build on (with the accu trigger etc.) or am I not missing much? My primary use is target shooting up to 300 and hunting eventually.
*Edit - Should have mentioned, the main reason why I asking is that I am going to start reloading for my 45 and 300wm and don't want to dump a bunch of time and money working on a load if I should have a different rifle to being with.
