Want to buy either one of these, because I want the detachable magazine. Any thoughts? Anyone have a "clip" model rifle in .338 WM for sale? Thanks-Karl

Good luck actually finding a 116fcSAK in .338. I've been trying to pick one up for months, no one has one and backorders never arrive. If you know of one anywhere, let me know and I will be in your gratitude.

I've been contemplating a similar purchase.

Unless you have your heart set on the muzzlebreak, your better off with the Savage 116FCSS. Has the accutrigger and detachable mag on a lighter style barrel with no muzzlebreak. A friend has one in 300 win mag and it shoots very well. Personally I would go with the Tikka providing I could find a 338

I have the 338 in the T-3 and love it. Recoil is very minimal for the T-3 lite and not muck more than any Od 6.
Did I mention the 3/4 inch groups with 250 Sierra GMKs.
I love this gun, smooth lite, accurate and very shootable, Have a good look at one before you buy a savage. However saying this the savage is not to shabby either.
