Guys:

I am looking at purchasing a hunting-weight 308 Win bolt action rifle.

I can pick up the Savage 11G .308 for about $565 new.

It will be using it for 0-200m deer hunting so sub-MOA accuracy is not required (that is what my PGW Rem 700 HB is for :D

Any major problems with this rifle?

Anyone have first hand experience with this rifle?

I think it is a good choice. You may well get sub moa accuracy. Have you handled one and seen how you like the accutrigger? Some like it, some don't. Not that there is anything wrong with it, just personal preference. I think the wood stock is a wise choice over the synthetic. I have a 300WM savage in synthetic stock and they leave something to be desired in my opinion. Not that I have anything against synthetic stocks, just against flimsy, poorly fitted ones. I have other rifles with synthetic stocks and the savage is by far the worst functioning.
