Savage 12 f/tr

Hey guys. So I just bought a savage 12 ftr in 308. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what Harris bipod adapter would work well for this gun. I'm buying the Harris bipod second hand from a friend but need an adapter and am looking for recommendations. Thanks

Does it have a swivel our an anschultz rail? If it is a swivel it could attach right on, you could purchase a flat fore end adapter #9 if i recall but not necessary even if you have a flat fore end. If it is an anschultz rail a t slot swivel adapter will do. There are two types of t swivel adapter European and America don't know which rail is on the 12 ftr. Good luck.

I have a F/TR in .223, im pretty sure the rail it has is the american rail.

any way my M-Pod fits in it nicely

My gun came with an adaptor for a harris, its just a sling stud that slides into the rail, Iv never used it but it came with it

It has an Anshutz rail and the adapter that comes with it for a Harris, unless you bought it used and the owner forgot to include it.
