Savage 17 hmrs?

I've found that the .17 HMR is such a fast tiny bullet that when I shoot clays the clays don't shatter...even after I've hit it 3-4 times around the same spot.

X2 on the above post. I sometimes have multiple hits on a clay without breaking it as well. Most other calibers seem to shatter them.

And here's a bit of a range report for you Rob, I just had the Mako out to the range today and got it dialed in, I started off with 5 shots at a 25 yard target just to get a rough sight in, I then moved back to a 100 yard target and fine tuned the scope to where I liked it. I then proceeded to punch holes out of the center of the target I've posted pictures of. The conditions were very good at the range today, it was forecast to be 22 C and I would estimate that to be correct, and there was a bit of a breeze blowing in I would guess it was around 10-15kmph.

In total 25 rounds of Hornady 17gr Varmint Express V-MAX fired out of my Savage 93R17 BTV Mako Stainless with a Vortex Crossfire 6-24x50mm scope, accumulating in a 1.42 inch 15 shot group.
