Savage .17 Mag release?

Hey,

does anyone know if there is a billet, or aftermarket magazine release for the Savage 93R17 BSEV? I just bought one, and I'd like to replace the cheap looking stamped metal mag release it comes with.... Im thinking a machined billet type mag release, in red, or silver would really look the part on this rifle. The factory mag release just doesn't do it justice IMO!

Something else that would relly dress it up would be an aftermarket Trigger/Accutrigger "tab".... not a whole new accutrigger "pack", just the trigger itself.

The Savage mag release is not a pivot or mechanical release like you may have experienced with 10/22's etc... it is a "spring" release and "catches" the mag by springing back into it's original position after being pulled back... a billett piece would be unable to "spring" and thus would require the addition of some spring-tension being applied to the mechanism itself (would be unwieldy)... if there is one, I have never seen it.
IMO, the best way to "dress-up" the mag release would be to build up an attachment to the existing release, you could use an aluminum piece and anodize in the color of your choice.
