Wanted to see if any Savage collectors out here?? What is its value, was made in 1970, has no box or papers other that a tag on the lever. any information. its in 308 win. Have bought some used one in the past (99;s) and paid upto $700.00 in decent shape and cared for. Thxs

no box no papers fired then it is just another savage on the used market 600-1000$ depending on condition

There is an unfired one for sale on G*n post for ???? $2900 ????, since 4 months already.

I would estimate your fired gun is worth $1200 max.

One sold locally for $1100 last September , it wasn't in mint shape , but it wasn't abused either . YMMV .

That's the one on G-post for 2900, thought it was steep! See its off now, Thanks for your replies, half of that would be enough IMO. No box or paper work included doesn't make it #1 collector.

Unless your a Savage collector and it strikes your fancy it s worth is that of a hunting rifle rather than having big collector value.Speaking of GP there is an unfired hammer block safety Marlin 1895 45/70 going for the low price of $10,000.I imagine the guy will grow old waiting to cash in for that price
