Savage 1899A question

Hi guys,

A friend of mine was asking me a question about the magazine capacity of a 1899A. Can anyone help me here? Also it's stamped 308 on it. Did they come in 308 also?

If it's a post war 99, it holds 5 shots. Savage 99's can be worth a ton of money too.

I don't think the 1899A was ever produced in .308 Win - by the time the .308 was available it was known as the 99.

The 1899A came with a 22" or 26" barrel; the 99A had a 24" barrel. The magazine capacity is 5.
