I feel a little stupid lol. I just looked at the model not the marker and the 22 I'm having probs with is a Savage Model 1904 not a Winchester.
Is anyone here familiar with this model ?
It's cocking on closing the action ? I can't see any modifications to the trigger. The only thing I do find is the trigger has alot of tension on it so it's hard to pull. No way a young kid would be able to pull the trigger imo. I'm wondering if the trigger spring needs to be a little shorter so the trigger assembly doesn't catch the bolt when closing the action ?
Any help would be great
Thanks !

Yes the Savage is a cocking on close gun and quite a lot of tension on that little bolt handle, I've seen a lot with the bolt handle broken off.

Though, I've never had any trouble with the triggers. Sounds like a modification to me.
