I Have a Savage 24 Series P in 22 magnum over 20 gauge and I was wondering where I could find a new extractor for the magnum barrel and a trigger guard?
 
I have one of those in .22lr over 20ga. I had to replace a couple of parts, and although I can't remember exactly how and where (I'm old and suffer from that kind of porous memory), it seems to me I went on line for "Savage parts" or some such thing. What I do recall is that I found the part without much trouble. You'll probably wind up having to have someone in the U.S. send it to you. Some years ago there was a man in Westfield, Mass. who bought up all the Savage parts and was selling from his home. Keep looking. You'll find it.
 
Gunparts. $14.55 U.S. for the extractor. $6.75 U.S. for a plastic trigger guard. $6.95 U.S. for a blued steel guard. Shouldn't be any fuss getting the stuff into Canada either.

You weren't losing it old timer, you hit the nail right on the head, unfortunately Steve closed up shop a little over a year ago and went into retirement. He sold all his remaining parts to Numrichs or "Eparts".
