Cool, how do you like the fit and finish? Is the action smooth? If possible, please post some close-up pics if it's not too much trouble. Thanks!

Actually, I just noticed that Pre-1898 has his for sale in the EE for 250 bucks. It was put up on the 15th, a week later than his glowing range report. Why the sudden change of hearth?

I'm not trying to be a ####, I just want to know more about the Steven's favorite. Is the action smooth? How's the trigger? How's the metal and wood work? Any one who owns one or has, feel free to chime in...

I've shot the newer Steven's Favourite. Accurate as anything, but felt flimsy. Didn't feel like a firearm, but a cheap toy. When held in the hands, it seems a good bend could twist or break the thing. It was also the takedown model I shot.
The older Steven's Favourite, much better. Again, accurate, and didn't feel like a cheap toy. If I find one, I'm getting it.

Its a boy's rifle. Or rather, a modern production of a classic boy's rifle. It should feel light and simple IMHO.

I just bought the one from Armco for my nephew.

Just trying to figure out if there is a scope mount out there for it or if I will have to drill and tap the thing.
