savage 340 scope mounts?

looking for something other than weaver, I would like a mount that puts the scope on the center of the bore,

Open top rear receiver design is suited for a side mount. Otherwise where to drill and tap the receiver for base installations?

i have made a few mounts that ride over the center of the bore. The receiver gets drilled and tapped 3 times up front, the 1 piece rail rides above the receiver opening high enough that it allows the rifle to properly function. and i don't have any pics, sorry on that end. with the rail you can mount standard weaver type rings in low or medium height.

I am thinking I may just take the weaver no1 base off a get a piece of hard wood and hammer the base a little, I don't like the set up now so I have nothing to loose lol
