Savage 64 magazine question.

Do the older models *cooey 64's* use the same magazines as the newer production Savage 64 ?.

I have been told they will work unless you have the early 64 that takes the plastic clip version. Then you will need to get the magazine conversion kit which I also believe was available through Savage at one time.

all above be true...I have the plastic first edition and several different models of 64 dates vary a lot and all use the same mag. Older plastic mag versions can be revamped to metal mags thru savage Arms and at a very satisfying price if ordered direct I might add.
