Hey all
I was shooting my brand new savage 64F semi at the range today, had it sighted in dead on with my rimfire scope, then all of a sudden it started shooting all over the place, 2ft low, a foot high etc.
Turns out the barrel retention screw had backed out. I think I can fix it with a bit of loctite but can't find the torque settings listed anywhere.
Any numbers would be appreciated!
Keep in mind these are not the action screws for the stock, the barrel on the rifle is held in place in the reciever by a recoil lug type thing with a set screw
