Savage 64 Takedown - Nutnfancy

Picked one up with the takedown case from Wanstalls when On Sale $199 ++
Think the sale lasted like a day before they were 'Out of Stock' ...
See now the best price anywhere is $100 more...:sok2

Didn't know that the savage 64 doesn't have the dovetail cutout like the Cooey model. Just expected them to keep building the same gun as always.

I like my 64 too. fun little gun! Bug out gun? Definitely, just learn to count to 10!

Will watch later, I've had mine for 3 year or so, only upgrade was to replace the pot trigger with a Mcarbo machined. Packs away nice in my canoe barrel for boat in trips. runs nice and unlike many "survival" 22s the stock sights shot true.

I've got a couple 'basic' 64s and love 'em. One with a red-dot holo and the other with an old Weaver D4 - both under 2" at 50 and the holo-one has ca 5K+ rounds on it.
Instead of the TD I went with the BV-22, getting some sub-MOA with low-cost SV like CCI-SV or Fed 40g SV.
