Savage 64fxp upgrades

Hello,

This may be a shot in the dark but I'm hoping for a couple of functional upgrades for my 64fxp. An extended mag release and an extended bolt handle. I can't find any dealers in Canada that sells them. Just in the US and with Covid shipping here may not happen right away. Has anyone had luck sourcing these items in Canada?

There was a CGN'r that made extended bolt releases for this rifle on EE.

Hi again - I hadn't noticed this question before I posted to your other thread. I made an ext bolt handle with a self-threading bolt with a nut to 'fill-in' the gap - clik on pics below to see larger image at Postimage site. I also made an ext mag release. I drilled a small hole in the existing release, inserted a piece of wire, and secured it with JB. These look 'bubba' but work quite well, for NO $$

I got both the 64b and Rem 597 charging handles from johnnyc14....well made...fit excellent...and MUCH easier to manipulate than the original handles. Recommended!

Yes..I ordered a bolt handle for my 64..it looks good and can't wait for it. Also a really nice guy to deal with.
