Savage 93 in a MK II stock?

Will a savage 93R fit in a MK II stock? Just curious. I want to upgrade my MK II to a new stock and wondered if I could use the Tacticool stock from it for my 93R.

I think there is a good chance it will work. The 93R is a 17HMR heavy barrel? (I know the 93FV is a heavy barrel .22WMR) I know when Savage puts the TRs in those Tacticool stocks, the barrels are heavy barrels (shallow flutes) but I don't know whether or not the barrel diameter is the same as the HB 93s. Guessing it will work.

If you have both try it and find out. Its only a couple of bolts to pull each stock off.

No difference between the two stocks given they are from the same reliever series. Bottom metal is different given the mag shape

Tried it. They are interchangeable but as old savage said, obviously the bottom metal is different. Seems strange that aftermarket stocks would be advertised for the MKII and not for the 93 series as well if they are, in fact, interchangeable. There are so few options for the 93.
