Savage 93R17 TR

I think the main difference between the TR and TRR is that big rail on the TRR. Both have fluted barrels, didn't think either one was threaded...?

Not sure what the R/rail upgrade costs, but even if you don't use it...can't hurt the re-sale value if you ever sell...or collector value if you don't. Just a thought.

A friend of mine has 93R17 TR...loves it.

Your right Dscott14 ....my mistake thought it was the TR they had ...Cabellas has them on backorder
I really like the TR as well but I want a rimfire savage in 22WMR....Might have to get a FV and put a tacticool stock from boyds on it...The barrel it wont be fluted and it will have the small bolt handle...or I could say screw it and get the FVSS package that is stainless and comes with a scope..Cabellas has them and it will match my Savage 116FCSS in 30.06

William's in Port Perry has a 9317 TRR in stock. I have a tr. My buddy bought the TRR and just put standard bases on it. You could sell the rail on here if you didn't want it. Great rifle. I'm more than happy with mine.

Cabelas lists the 93R17TR at $440.00...shows out of stock

Ellwoods 93R17 TRR $479.25 ...shows in stock and dosn,t mention the threaded muzzle  I like the older model better .....without the threaded muzzle

Thanks for the help fellas im gonna try to slip over to epps in the next couple weeks. Hopefully their TRR is last years model without the threaded barrel.

Cheers, Dscott

Email Epps, they are good about sending you pics on any firearm that is listed on their website. It should be last years model as it is not listed as a TRR-SR, but you never know. They had a Mark II TRR-SR .22 listed a month or so ago but it sold fast.
