I just acquired a Savage 99 in 250-3000. Serial#590441 Made in Chickopee Falls Style 9 I believe....Excellent original Condition. The oval on boss, seems to read 7C...not sure...Can anybody help me with Model suffix and value? I'm not able to put pics on CGN. Respectfully Jim

It's gonna be either a model EG or an R, but 99% of the time they're model EG's.
EG's are like Winchester 94's in 30-30, not real hard to find, but the caliber you have gives a premium. Depends a lot on the condition of the gun as well. To bad you don't have pics.
If it's wearing a forearm with a Schnabel tip it's a model EG.
