Hi, My Friend Recently Inherited a Savage 99 Takedown rifle in .22 HP

Where does one find ammo for it?

Does it have any collector Value?

I'm trying to help him answer these questions,but I don't really know anything about Savage Rifles or the cartridge itself.
 
Tradeex (and possible others) sell 5.6x52R ammo, which is the Euro designation.

Collector value will depend on condition and originality, for example pipe wrench marks on the barrel will greatly reduce the value. IMO anything less that excellent condition will not have any significant value, a few hundred bucks maybe.
