savage 99a value

I just picked a savage 99a in a trade, chamber in 250 sav, rifle is in mint, mint, mint condition. Drilled and tapped for scope(factory), rotary mag with round counter, tang safety, bluing at 98.9%, no cracks in the wood, Williams rifle sights, beautiful case coloured lever, no checkering, straight butt stock, just, less than a box fired, bore looks new

Here in North Carolina at a gun show in Raleigh yesterday I saw two very well used (beat up) 99s. One was $850 and the other was $950. I think they are a bit more common on the Canadian market but one like you described would probably fetch $1500 here.

I sold one exactly like that about 5 years ago in the same caliber for $750 if that helps.
