Quick question for anyone familiar with the last 99 made the 99A . I picked one up in .250 and the forend ferrule and screw are stripped. Did they also originally come with a small metal cup or washer for the bolthead in the forend? BUBBA mounted a sling but at least didn't mess up the wood in the front end.I'll go with a barrel band after I replace some parts. It's a 20" barrel with a proper 1-10 twist.....a trapper's gun so not a collector piece.....Harold
 
I had one of those, a nice gun and 1-10" is way better than the old style 1-14" twist. If my memory is correct they did have a cup to receive the fore end screw. One of uncle Mike's barrel band swivel will fit.
 
Still need to locate parts as Numrich says is not shipping internationally until early 2017 ? And of course they only have 1/2 the parts........Harold
 
I found the barrel stud,forend screw and cup so at some point will need open sights. I can scope in the meantime..........Harold

Ordered the rest from Numrich .................missing front sight screw to attach to barrel.Harold
