Savage 99c bolt removal

So, I have a friends rifle. The butt stock is off and the bolt stop had been removed. For the life of me (maybe it's an after night shift thing), but I can't figure out how the bolt comes out! It looks like it comes out in one direction only, but something is holding it back.

Any help is appreciated.

The rear end of the bolt - where the lever engages the cam track - needs to be wiggled off to the side.

Got it! I feel sorry for my friend too. I'm going to have to tell him it'll take at least 25 years to fix it I kinda like it.

So.... Now that I'm in cleaning mode, I'm wondering what to do for lubrication. Get out ye olde gun oil or do some parts prefer grease?
